Static trapeze is a fun blend of sport and art, where regular training will improve your strength, flexibility, and agility as you learn to maneuver and create beautiful shapes in the air.

For children, static trapeze classes are a great way to learn to listen and focus,  improve balance and hand-eye coordination, and boost confidence.

For adults, training trapeze is a great stress-reliever, energy-booster, and a wonderful reminder of the importance of play and creation.

We run 1-day, 2-day, 3 days and 5-day immersive workshops

Workshops are fantastic for students who want to explore tricks, transitions, and choreography in more depth than is usually feasible in classes.

Children workshops generally start at 10am and finish at 3pm, where students get to experience and train on a variety of aerial skills, including static trapeze, rope, and aerial hoop. We also play circus-inspired games with juggling balls, scarves, diabolos, devil sticks and plate-spinning as part of warming up and cooling down. 5-day workshops culminate in a student showcase on the last day.

Adult workshops are a rare opportunity to develop a static trapeze routine of your own. Genevieve will teach a 2-minute piece of choreography for you to adapt and style to fit a song of your choice (please bring your own music). You then rehearse your routine over 5 days under Genevieve's tutelage and perform it to your class on the last day.

Upcoming Workshops

Join us for an intensive trapeze class covering trapeze-specific conditioning to build up more strength as well as tricks and poses with an aim to do a simple routine at the end. Suitable for both beginners and advanced as a one off trapeze boost or as part of a regular practice.

Private parties

Parties for All Ages

We offer private workshops for special occasions - birthday parties are our specialty, for both children and adults. We also do corporate events, hen parties, stag parties, etc.

Private workshops are tailored to you – you may want a trapeze party, a circus games party, a mix of both, or a different aerial apparatus altogether.

Genevieve also teaches private classes, for when you want to work through certain tricky poses and transitions, or if you want help choreographing and polishing a trapeze act.

Contact Genevieve for more information.

“Amazing party! Just like nothing else! Excellent value!”
Thank you so much for making Matilda’s 9th birthday party such a fabulously fun and exciting one! She loved it and so did all her friends, it seems. In fact, you may well see some of them again; I hear some are very keen to join your weekly classes.”
“Thank you for the “Circus Glory Party”. The children had a fantastic time and so did we!”

Is trapeze safe?

Yes, when it is taught correctly. Genevieve has been teaching for over 30 years and she knows how to progress students in a safe and steady manner. There are thick crash mats underneath each apparatus and she teaches students to fall safely.

You may have seen trapeze shows where the trapeze hangs very high up. In a class setting, that is not necessary, and the main static trapeze that Genevieve uses to teach classes hangs just 1.5 meter above the crash mats.

What are your class sizes?

Classes are kept small so everyone receives personal attention and hands on corrections, about 4-6 people. Workshops may have 8-10 people.

What should I wear/bring?

Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. No shoes or socks necessary, bare feet preferred. Long hair should be tied up. Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated, and maybe a snack for after class.
