Circus Glory is a central London trapeze school owned and run by Genevieve Monastesse since 1995.
Genevieve has taught circus arts to adults, teenagers and children for over 30 years in variety of leading circus school and is respected as one of the best aerial teachers in Europe.
The key principle of Circus Glory trapeze school is a personal attention from Genevievie in a small group class setting of maximum 8 people. Every student's progress is closely monitored and supported with one-to-one tips and technique corrections. This speeds up overall learning progress and allows a person to naturally perform to a high standard overtime (demonstrated beautifully by a pool of regular students training with Genevievie for years).
When Genevievie is not teaching at Circus Glory in leafy Primrose Hill, she can be found teaching the Degree Programme at the National Centre of Circus Arts, one of Europe's leading provider of proffesional circus education.
Her students are some of the successful aerialists that you will have seen performing worldwide.
Genevieve was born in Montreal, the circus capital of the world, where she studied circus, music, and theatre. After graduating from the National Circus School of Montreal, she worked in Cirque du Soleil for two years on their very first show!
She then moved to Europe and forged an career as an aerialist through performing in music videos (George Michael’s ‘Spinning the Wheel’), films (‘Ella Enchanted’, ‘Fairy Tale: A True Story’), theatre (‘The Bartered Bride’ at the Royal Opera House), and charity gala events (Amnesty International, Save the Children). She has performed live in front of royalty at the Queen’s birthday gala, been featured in countless fashion shows and commercials, and doubled for Kate Moss as her stuntwoman.
Static trapeze is a fun blend of sport and art, where regular training will improve your strength, flexibility, and agility as you learn to maneuver and create beautiful shapes in the air.
For children, static trapeze classes are a great way to learn to listen and focus, improve balance and hand-eye coordination, and boost confidence.
For adults, training trapeze is a great stress-reliever, energy-booster, and a wonderful reminder of the importance of play and creation.

NEW STUDENTS OFFER
We are running an introductory offer for new students where you can try our first class for £14.99 instead of standard £21.
The offer is valid for our 1.15 h classes during the week:
MON 1:30pm – 2:45pm
WED 1:00pm - 2:15pm
FRI 1:30pm - 2:45pm
FRI: 6.30pm-7:45pm (*selected Fridays only, please double check the dates on our 'classes' page)
The class don't require any previous experience as you’ll get personal attention from Genevieve who will assess your level in order to work with your current abilities. You will be showed all the moves; Genevieve will guide you how to get on trapeze, get into every move and how to come down.
All our classes are mixed levels as each student has its own time on trapeze with Genevieve regardless if you are a beginner or an advanced student. We find that having a mixed level class motivates students much better as students can see the level that can be achieved if trapeze is practiced reguraly.
To book your first class, just email Genevieve at email@example.com and mention 'Autumn Offer'.
We are delighted to have been featured in the following magazines (please click on the image to read full article):
We run 1-day, 2-day, 3 days and 5-day immersive trapeze and circus workshops throughout the year open to all levels.
Adult workshops are fantastic for students who want to explore tricks, transitions, and choreography in more depth than is usually feasible in classes. 3-day workshops include developing a static trapeze routine of your own under Genevievie's guidance.
Children workshops cover a variety of aerial skills including: static trapeze, rope, and aerial hoop. We also play circus-inspired games with juggling balls, scarves, diabolos, devil sticks and plate-spinning as part of warming up and cooling down. 5-day workshops culminate in a student showcase on the last day.
15 September: Intensive Adult Trapeze Class 2h
October 6th 11:30am-1:30pm
October 27th 11am-1pm
November 17th 11am-1pm
December 8th 11am-1pm
Join us for a perfect trapeze training boost that lasts 2h instead of standard 1.5h! Suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced. You will get stronger with 30min floor conditioning (yes.. 'no abs, no trapeze!'), loads of trapeze tricks in the air and we will finish off with a mini routine. As usual, spaces are limited to 8 people to guarantee personal attention.
Special offer: £25/ per class if booked by 10th September
To book, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Can’t make the above workshop dates? I also throw private parties.
Parties for All Ages
We offer private workshops for special occasions - birthday parties are our specialty, for both children and adults. We also do corporate events, hen parties, stag parties, etc.
Private workshops are tailored to you – you may want a trapeze party, a circus games party, a mix of both, or a different aerial apparatus altogether.
Genevieve also teaches private classes, for when you want to work through certain tricky poses and transitions, or if you want help choreographing and polishing a trapeze act.
Contact Genevieve for more information.
Is trapeze safe?
Yes, when it is taught correctly. Genevieve has been teaching for over 30 years and she knows how to progress students in a safe and steady manner. There are thick crash mats underneath each apparatus and she teaches students to fall safely.
You may have seen trapeze shows where the trapeze hangs very high up. In a class setting, that is not necessary, and the main static trapeze that Genevieve uses to teach classes hangs just 1.5 meter above the crash mats.
What are your class sizes?
Classes are kept small so everyone receives personal attention and hands on corrections, about 4-6 people. Workshops may have 8-10 people.
What should I wear/bring?
Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. No shoes or socks necessary, bare feet preferred. Long hair should be tied up. Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated, and maybe a snack for after class.
